Alagappa - Online Conduction

Course Conduction:

Every Student would be registered on provisional basis and the students are provided the access to course material as a learner.

Confirmed admission for respective course is subject to eligibility check which would be communicated tentatively one month before the scheduled exams based on all the mandatory documents submitted by the students.

The prospective student should check their eligibility before provisional enrolment process and there would be no refund of any registration or part fees payment paid to the university for enrolment

The student would be provided with the hard copy of books/study material along with the login credentials of the Virtual Campus: Learning Management System (LMS) for accessing the courses online.

The LMS have semester wise buckets for subjects of the respective programs as enrolled. The student would have access to following learning resources:

  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
  • Misconceptions
  • Digital Text Book (FAQ)
  • Quick Learning Book
  • Interactive Video Course Book
  • Gamified Practice Test
  • Simulated Case Studies
  • Practice Assignments
  • Live Interactive Online Sessions
    (Synchronous Sessions)
  • Online Discussion Forums
  • Web Resources for Research
    Purpose and Reference Learning

Assignmentsv Scheme:

Assignments: Continuous Evaluation:

There would be 2 assignments one objective type (A1) and other would be subjective type (A2). Assignment marks are considered in the final mark sheet generated by the university and assignments would have 30 % weightage for the same while exams would have 70% weightage for the final score card.

Assignment 1: (A1):

  • Online Assignment (A1) would be submitted through the LMS
  • 50 Questions (MCQ type) with 2 marks each. 40% passing criteria.
  • Duration of Assignment1 would be of 1 hour.

Assignment 2: (A2):

  • The students have been provided with Assignment Response Sheet for assignment submissions in soft copy which can be downloaded from the website / LMS.
  • The questionnaire for the assignment two would be updated on the website which students should refer and attempt the same.
  • Students should upload the soft copy of subjective assignment (A2) in the Learning Management System for evaluation purpose within the deadline provided by the university.
  • The student should score 40% to pass in respective assignment for every subject.

Term End Exams:

  • The exams would be conducted across Tamil Nadu
  • Pen and Paper examinations would be conducted at appointed exam centers by the university.
  • The exam centers would have all the required infrastructure to conduct the said assessments at their exam centers.
  • The list of Exam Centers would be displayed on University Website and Student has to choose his center location at time of Admission (To be Mentioned on Admission Form)
  • Exam Time Table Declared on University Website
  • Exams have a weightage of 75% of overall assessments
  • The exams would be subjective questions with 3 hour duration
  • The student would be provided with hall ticket before the exams
  • Students must submit their Assignments one month before the exams
  • Student should submit the hard copy of exam form by courier to University Exam Department one month before exams.
  • Results are declared within 60 days from exams and Hard Copy Mark Sheets within 90 days from Exams.

Project Work:

Programs which have project work as part of their curriculum, the students should submit the same in Hard Copy to the University for Evaluation and Project Viva Purpose. Refer Project Guidelines as available on the website.
